Kathy and Stan: the Owners/Operators:
We moved from Illinois in 2000 where we owned and operated a 24 stall boarding facility on 50 acres just outside Chicago. In 2008 we opened our 10 Stall boarding facility just around the corner with a large fiber arena and many owners enjoying and learning with their horses in a barn atmosphere. We recently sold that facility so we could have the opportunity to enjoy our golden years, while still providing a great facility for a few select clientele. We are also semi retired, just like the horses we board. With almost 60 years in the horse industry, Kathy has trained in and competed in Dressage, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Hunt Seat and Eventing. She participated in 4-H and Pony Club as a youth. Stan loves to mow and enjoys keeping the property well maintained and looking great. We practice what most people would call " Natural Horsemanship techniques". We strive daily to continue to develop a trusting relationship where all the horses are respected and HAPPY. We treat all the horses like they are our own. We will only have 5-6 horses on the property which gives us plenty of time to care for each individual horse and provide for their specific needs as they age as gracefully as possible. Caring for the horses along with maintaining our facility is our only job.
Our property is gated and fenced with no climb fencing for the horses safety, security and peace of mind.
Our pastures have plenty of large grand daddy oak trees to provide a cool sanctuary away from the Florida heat.
Being a small, private barn allows us to provide extra care and attention to your horse. We put on and remove fly masks in the summer, spray with owner provided fly spray, hose off sweat in the summer and blanket as needed in the winter, all at no charge to you. We strive to make every horse happy and comfortable.
We offer a lovely, private, small Adult only facility for those individuals who want to enjoy their horse in a quiet and low key atmosphere. Where their horse can enjoy being semi or full retirement with a few other horses and not get lost in a big herd or barn situation. You won't have to share the facility with a large group of people, just a select few. We are dedicated to our boarders and their horses, and aim to provide plenty of attention them. We offer no drama, fun, friendly, supportive and safe environment for you to enjoy your horse. All of our horses seem to truly love their life here with us and their horse friends.
